Key Ingredient Dead Sea Salt

Dead Sea salt refers to salt and other mineral deposits extracted or taken from the Dead Sea. The composition of this material differs significantly from oceanic salt and the mineral composition varies with season, rainfall, depth of deposit, and ambient temperature. Most oceanic salt is approximately 85% sodium chloride (the same salt as table salt) while Dead Sea salt is only 30.5% of this, with the remainder composed of other dried minerals. The Dead Sea contains 21 essential minerals, twelve of the Dead Sea minerals do not exist in any other sea or ocean in the world. The Dead Sea salt is rich with essential minerals; magnesium, calcium, sulfur, bromide, sodium, potassium and iodine, which have been proven in research, as beneficial to the body and particularly to the skin, the hair and the nails. So what exactly do the minerals in the Dead Sea salts do? Here are some things to consider: magnesium heals the tissues, the sulfur, which is a natural disinfectant, accelerates hair growth, the potassium adds moisture to the skin, zinc treats and cures acne, calcium accelerates the growth of nails and bromide wakens the skin to life. Furthermore, quite a few studies have confirmed the direct connection between the Dead Sea salt and the healing of various skin diseases such as psoriasis.

Soaking in water enriched with these salts are known to benefit the body from the inside out, treating skin conditions and improving internal processes. These salts are most commonly used to exfoliate, which softens the skin and even battles the appearance of cellulite. Dead Sea Salts are also noted for their powers in elevating mood too.
