HYDROSOL

Hydrosol, which translates to “water solution” are gaining popularity in natural skin care products.  Hydrosols are the pure distillate water that remains after essential oils are steam distilled from the original plant material also known as distillates .  Hydrosols are gaining recognition in aromatherapy and skin care because they are well diluted, and water soluble.  This makes them easily absorbed and assimilated into the layers of the skin which will help maximize effectiveness.  Also, since hydrosols are much less potent than essential oils themselves, which can sometimes be irritating, they’re safer for people with depressed immune systems or very sensitive skin.  One of the favorites in the B.Witching Face Care collection is our Rosewater Facial Toner.  It contains both Witch Hazel and Rose distillates, which have numerous beneficial properties on the skin.  Witch Hazel, besides working against free radicals, has anti-inflammatory and anti-itch properties.  The Rose distillate has soothing, moisturizing, and antiseptic properties.  Our tonic will leave your face feeling soft and smooth without over drying and is best used on mature or combination skin.   We also use hydrosols in our body lotions, exfoliating scrubs and other formulations.
